GET READY FOR CONNECTICUT’S LGBTQ FILM FESTIVAL
MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR A WEEK OF CINEMATIC ENRICHMENT.
Pride month is right around the corner and Out Film CT has just released the schedule for the 38th Connecticut LGBTQ Film Festival. A whopping 91 short and full-length films will be on view from June 20 - 28th. The cinematic celebration features “3 world premieres, 6 North American premieres, 2 U.S. premieres and over 35 East Coast, Northeast U.S. and New England premieres,” making this year’s film festival a must-see.
One film not to be missed is A Culinary Uprising: The Story of Bloodroot, which focuses on the Bridgeport-based restaurant as it is the oldest and longest running feminist and lesbian-founded restaurant in the U.S.
While the majority of films will be screened at Trinity College’s Cinestudio, the closing night will be held at the Connecticut Science Center in downtown Hartford. Virtual-only exclusives will also allow cinephiles to enjoy the movies from the comfort of home throughout New England and Westchester County, NY.
Festival passes and individual tickets are available now — All Access FestiPasses are $125 USD for one person and $200 USD for households. Passes include access to the entirety of the film festival as well as opening receptions and after parties. Tickets for individual screenings are $13 for general admission.
