A 3 person art exhibition at Trinity College in the Widener Art Gallery featuring art from:
Sophia DeJesus-Sabella, Traé Brooks, and Kevin Hernàndez-Rosa called, We Find Ourselves In This Place.
I had the chance to sit down and interview Traé on his shared exhibition that has a strong focus on design, form, structure, and material. We talked about how 3 different artists, that could seem to be worlds apart, come together and how its the source and soul of their works all that brings them all together in this found place.
Paraphrasing Traé: each of the artists use found objects or discarded material that is passed by on a daily basis with a mission to reuse and reutizile the objects to transform them. Taking things that may have lost their value and bring them into this space to show their true value. If not to the observer than to the artists themselves.
