A TASTEFUL EXPERIENCE AT TABLE & GALLERY

THE TABLE AND GALLERY IS AN ODE TO COMMUNITY AND CULTURE.

The Table & Gallery is an immersive space that combines an art gallery and fine dining from the mind of Sonal Soveni. The founder is an artist, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and PhD candidate in Psychology - who decided to use her history in hospitality to combine her love for the arts with an impressive multisensory experience.

The venue is a relatively new addition to the art scene in downtown New Haven, only having opened in 2023. Located at 1209 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06511, it hosts various events, from fundraisers to monthly rotating tasting menus curated by its resident chefs.

Founded by an accomplished entrepreneur, filmmaker, artist, philanthropist, and PhD candidate in Psychology, The Table & Gallery was born as a sanctuary for creative healing and transformation.

As a victim of the food service industry myself, it’s inspiring to see what endurance and creative drive give way to, anyone who’s worked in that industry knows how difficult it can be. To be able to say you not only made it through - while working toward her many accolades - but to be able to alchemize that experience, turning it into something so healing is amazing.

The service industry builds character, everyone should work in it at least once - and being able to see how it can be improved is impressive - the best way to perfect an experience is to live it. With all that being said and seeing what the Table and Gallery has to offer - as an art lover, or even just a visitor of New Haven this is not something you want to miss out on.

Sonal credits her travel and exploration of other cultures as her inspiration for the gallery’s conception.

Inspired by recent journeys to India and Japan, the founder uncovered a deep connection between art and personal growth.

The venue boasts an impressive team led by its Executive Chef, Royal Jamison Jr., whose careful consideration for what the experience offers has allowed for an impactful lineup.

The head chefs include Lyli Moss, Michaela Ucich, and resident sushi chef Nico - each from a wildly different cultural background, which, in turn, influences the tasting menus they create.

The artistry in everything from the dishes chosen to their presentation and respective drink pairings is undeniable. New tasting menus are offered month-to-month, encouraging patrons to go on a journey with them, using their culinary skills as a form of creative expression.

Going into their third year with 2025 right around the corner, there’s always been a clear focus on amplifying the voices of the community. The team makes a consistent effort to work with local artists of all disciplines and organizations that center the wellness of self and community, widening their reach and building support networks.

Their December tasting menu is live here for the rest of the month and time slots range from 5 pm to 9, they also have events lined up, leading up to the end of the year. Take time if you can to give the space a visit and enjoy all that it has to offer whether it be this month or after the new year.
