CAFETERIA.FM - Coco Express Edition
CAFETERIA RADIO TEAMS UP WITH PRETTY GIRLZ LOVE AMAPIANO TO THROW A SKI PARTY.
The first-ever Coco Express at Ski Sundown was nothing short of legendary. This event was first announced last year but unfortnuately needed to be cancelled as our ski season ended early. Brought to life by Pretty Girls Love Amapiano (PGLA) and Sweets & Sounds, the weather was on our side this time and created a perfect fusion of ski culture and nightlife, transforming Connecticut’s slopes into a “Après-Ski Party”.
Typically, you’d expect to travel up north to Vermont to hit the slopes, but Ski Sundown in New Hartford serves us up just right. With ski runs during the day and DJ sets keeping the energy high into the night, it was the ultimate way to close out the season for most us with a weekend in the mountains.
The music was a key part of what made this night so special. iosnua set the tone with a deep house-drenched mix, closing with dance edits and Jersey Club. You might notice in the back that even the ski patrol and mountain staff were caught grooving. As the night went on, Danny2ooFresh, one-half of PGLA, turned up the heat on the patio, bringing skiers and boarders straight from the lift to the dance floor. The best part? You could hear the beats as you ascended the mountain, and the energy built up as you raced down, making it impossible not to stop by, hop off your skis, and dance for a few tracks before heading back for another run.
A huge thank you to PGLA and Sweets & Sounds for curating such an incredible experience, and to the team at Ski Sundown for being such amazing hosts. Seeing this kind of event come together in Connecticut was a game-changer, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year.
