In recent years, three emerging brands, Uxe Mentale, Glasshouse, and Sydpes, have been steadily gaining momentum in the fashion world. Their new collections, now available in our shop, have been met with positive reception, each presenting a refreshing perspective and unique style. While both Glasshouse and Uxe Mentale heavily focus on streetwear, they manage to offer distinctive elements that cater to individual preferences. On the other hand, Sydpes stands out with its commitment to sustainability, offering upcycled and reworked second-hand garments for those seeking environmentally-conscious fashion choices. Together, these brands bring a diverse range of options that resonate with different tastes and values, enhancing the shopping experience for our customers.
Uxe Mentale, led by Argentinean-based graphic designer/artist Gustavo Eandi (@gustavo.eandi), emerges as an exciting brand that showcases Gustavo's personal creative projects and unique approach to visual design.
In collaboration with the NYC/LA-based agency Lite Year (@liteyear.us), Uxe Mentale pays tribute to and draws inspiration from the celebrated styles and aesthetics of the 1990s. The brand finds its core references from iconic skate-centric advertisements like Thrasher, Transworld, and Tres60 Skate.
Gustavo's creative prowess has garnered attention from various giants in the music and streetwear industries, with renowned names such as @stussy, @wearebraindead, @ghostly, @madlib, and many others recognizing and appreciating his work. Uxe Mentale is undoubtedly a rising force that captures the essence of nostalgia while infusing it with a modern, cutting-edge edge, setting new standards in the realm of visual design and creativity.
Sydpes, a sustainable clothing brand catering to the youth, was founded by the talented Sydney Pesaturo (@bysydpes). With a strong focus on sustainability, Sydney specializes in upcycling and reworking second-hand clothing, adding a touch of authenticity through screen-printed designs, and even incorporating crocheting techniques into garment threads. The brand's dedication to eco-friendly practices and innovative design approaches makes it a standout choice for fashion-conscious individuals seeking unique and environmentally-conscious clothing options.
Ever since its introduction to the store, Glasshouse has been an absolute favorite among our customers at the Caf. The brand brings a delightful earth-tone vibe that was previously missing, enhancing the overall shopping experience. Glasshouse has quickly become a staple brand that is sure to have a lasting presence in our store, capturing the hearts of our patrons with its unique and appealing offerings.
