Connecticut Sun’s DiJonai Carrington Spends Her Off Day at The Caf

The All -Star athlete aces a fashion challenge with ESPN.

It’s an exciting time to be alive as people are finally paying attention to women’s sports. The WNBA is getting its long overdue shine as players like DiJonai Carrington are ushering in a new era and there is no doubt that the Connecticut Sun guard is at the top of her game. Earning her spot on the 2024 roster a full 10 days before the start of the 2023 season, Carrington is the Sun’s secret weapon. Just rewatch her dominate the court as she fouled Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark during May’s game and you’ll understand.

The athlete’s prowess doesn’t stop on the court as she is known for her stellar tunnel fits. The 26 year-old knows she’ll “only have this body for so long,” using her impeccable taste to accentuate her figure and express her confidence through her clothing. The blonde bombshell makes it clear that beauty and basketball can co-exist as she challenges the norm of what an athlete looks like. “You have to be yourself and I truly try to be authentically me in whatever space I’m in — whether that’s on the court or in a business meeting. I try to just be unique and be me.”

It should come as no surprise that Carrington likes to use her free time to shop. For her WNBA Off Day, Carrington hangs out with ESPN's LaChina Robinson at The CAF by Cafeteria. ESPN producer Sania Blu shares,

“I was in a pinch trying to scout locations for WNBA Off Day with DiJonai Carrington hosted by LaChina Robinson. My colleague saw The CAF on Instagram and sent me the information. That same day, I spoke with Josh and knew THE CAF would be the perfect location. The space was very cool and fit the aesthetic I was looking for. The crew even redesigned the space in preparation for DiJonai, who loved the shop and had fun during the shoot.”

You can watch DiJonai get glam and score points during an exciting fashion challenge and be sure to check out what the caf has to offer here.
