Sweets & Sounds is an organization created by Angel Dahfay dedicated to curating content and events that connects you through food, music and events centered around BIPOC. The convention was created to take what is done digitally through sweets & sounds and bring it to life. sweets & sounds con is an experience that brings music lovers, creatives & foodies together twice a year.
Boy Next Door Listening Session
Trey Moore collaborated with cafeteria radio to make the first listening experience of Boy Next Door one to remember. The walls were filled with nostalgic posters, the room was filled with sounds by DJ Hardwood & Dave Phoenix. You felt as though you were in a garden with grass carpets and fenced up flowers.
Technicity Exhibition & Capsule Collection
The concept of Technicity first started when we began brainstorming what we wanted to offer to the interior setting at Semilla Cafe + Studio. Early conversations lead to the idea of building a DIY DJ booth, which eventually snowballed into a research project into Sound System culture, originating in Jamaica.
